Jessica Harmer-Pardee
Music has been a cornerstone of Jessica Harmer-Pardee’s life for as long as she can
remember. Her journey began at a young age in her church’s youth choir, laying
groundwork for a lifelong passion. She sang in chorus continuously from elementary
school through college, played the flute throughout elementary, middle and high school,
and earned a spot in her high school’s select chamber choir during her senior year.
Since joining Evergreen Chorus in August 2003 following a series of membership drive
classes, Jessica has been a dedicated anchor of the chorus for over two decades. A
steadfast Tenor throughout her tenure, her leadership and commitment extend far
beyond her vocal contribution. She currently serves on the Music Team as Tenor
Section Leader and on the Management Team as Event Coordinator. Jessica played a
vital role on the return-to-singing committee as COVID-19 restrictions eased and helped
promote Evergreen’s Holiday Concert series on Q92 during the pandemic. To further
refine her leadership skills, she is actively pursuing her Sweet Adelines International
(SAI) Director Certification. Beyond Evergreen—she actively serves her local
community by singing in two church choirs and leading music for local Sunday School
Christmas Pageants and Children’s Day services.
For Jessica, the rewarding musical challenge of barbershop harmony is matched only
by the deep personal bonds formed within the chorus. Key highlights of her journey
include competing at the 2017 International Competition in Las Vegas and a touching
pre-wedding celebration hosted by her fellow singers—the moment Evergreen truly
became family. Having joined shortly after graduating college, the chorus has served as
a constant anchor through every major milestone and hardship of her adult life.
Evergreen Chorus has celebrated her engagement, wedding, and the birth of her
daughter, Anastasia, while offering steadfast support through job transitions, family
health struggles, and the passing of her mother.
Looking back over twenty years, Jessica considers taking that first step to join
Evergreen Chorus one of the best decisions of her life.
